Ashdod Port Company has published an international tender for the procurement of double-jib cranes for Berths 3, 4 and 5, used for general and bulk cargo operations, as part of its ongoing equipment modernization program.
The procurement is part of the company's infrastructure development plan, which includes a planned investment of NIS 300 million.
In the first phase, the port plans to purchase three double-jib cranes to replace existing aging equipment, with an option to procure up to 16 additional cranes over the next decade. The tender also includes 9- and 13-cubic-meter grabs and additional operational systems. The new cranes will have a lifting capacity of 40 tons and are expected to be delivered in 2029.
Separately, the port has launched a procurement process for two rail-mounted jib cranes for Berth 9 as part of an upgrade of Berths 7 through 9, which are being converted for general cargo operations. The new cranes will have a lifting capacity of up to 124 tons.
