Price of gas to fall 5%

The price of gasoline, set by the government, is calculated by averaging international oil prices and the value of the shekel against the dollar.

The price of gas will drop by 5 percent at midnight on Wednesday at gas stations across the country following the decline in global oil prices over recent months. The price for self-service 95 octane gasoline will drop 5% to NIS 4.75 per liter, down from NIS 5, the National Infrastructures Ministry announced Tuesday. The price for self-service 96 octane gasoline will fall 4.79% to NIS 4.77 per liter, down from NIS 5.01. The service fee for full-service remains unchanged at NIS 0.13 per liter. Last month, gasoline prices decreased by an average of 9%. The price of gasoline, set by the government each month, is calculated by averaging international oil prices and the value of the shekel against the dollar during the last week of each month.
