The foreign minister of Qatar Hamed Bin Jasem al-Thani called his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni on Wednesday evening to be updated on recent events in the Gaza Strip.
The Qatari FM was later interviewed on the Al-Jazeera TV channel about his phone call with Livni.
