The Abu Gosh Festival for Vocal Music is kicking off just in time for Shavuot.

The Abu Gosh Festival for Vocal Music is kicking off its 33rd weekend of classical festivities spanning the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods, the festival will whet the appetite of music lovers just in time for Shavuot. Kicking off the festivities is Yuval Ben-Ozer, conducting music to the words of poet Pablo Neruda, June 6 at noon. Soprano Claire Meghnagi will perform, as will the BBC Choir Singers. Other conductors include Anat Morg and Chana Tzur. There will also be a festival-inside-the-festival, featuring duets, ensemble performances and a flute-making corner in five locations around the church, June 7 and 9 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are NIS 75 for adults and NIS 30 for kids, purchased on location only.
