Pastor Greg Laurie, the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, was honored this week with an award by the Friends of Zion (FOZ) Museum for his support of the State of Israel and the Jewish people.
Laurie is in Israel with 650 congregants from Harvest Ministries, which is home to over 15,000 congregants, many of whom visit Israel with him yearly. Laurie was also a main speaker at the National Prayer Service for US President Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration.
Dr. Mike Evans, founder of the Friends of Zion Museum, explained that the partnership between the State of Israel and these amazing Christian Zionists is an unstoppable force.
“The Friends of Zion Museum is educating and activating these defenders of Israel,” he said. ”I want to thank Pastor Greg Laurie for his support of the State of Israel and for bringing thousands of Christian to learn about Zionism.”
Laurie noted that he was “amazed by all the Christian heroes who had helped the Jewish people over time and played an important role in the establishment of the State of Israel. Thank you, Dr. Mike Evans and the FOZ Museum, for proving Christians, wherever they might be, have dozens of Christian Zionist heroes!”
Laurie hosts the nationally syndicated radio program, A New Beginning, which is broadcasted nationally on over 800 stations in worldwide. Laurie also speaks at large-scale Evangelical events held nationally across the United States, bringing hundreds of thousands of Christians together in the country’s largest arenas to pray for the “peace of Jerusalem.” Since 1990, Laurie has spoken to over 5.6 million Evangelicals, with over 1.8 million online attendees.
The Friends of Zion Museum tells the heroic stories of the non-Jews who have assisted the Jewish people throughout the Zionist movement as well as in critical times like the Holocaust. Both Evans and Laurie serve on the Trump Faith Initiative, President Trump’s Evangelical Faith Board.
In December 2017, Dr. Mike Evans awarded President Trump with the “Friend of Zion” Award in the Oval Office, with Trump Faith Initiative and White House leaders present. According to Evans, Trump received the award for moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
The Friends of Zion Museum recently surpassed 60 million members, making it one of the largest pro-Israel sites in the world. The museum is also known for its state-of-the-art technology and has become one of the central institutions in the State of Israel, influencing the world and strengthening Israel’s relations globally.
The Friends of Zion Heritage Center is a $100 million project that has become one of the central institutions in the State of Israel and has become a must-see site for all tourists as well as Israeli citizens.
