As Israel searches for ways to return to normalcy and strengthen the north, a familiar brand from the south is making a meaningful move that reflects the spirit of the times. Mosh’s Beach, which has hosted thousands of vacationers in Eilat for years, has decided to expand its operations northward and open a new complex on Achziv Beach in the Western Galilee.

The move comes at a symbolic moment—just as Israel is recovering from war and seeking to reconnect with the country’s northern region. In the very spot where Banana Beach once operated, a new venue is now emerging, promising to transform the beach experience in the Galilee.

In a rare step for Israeli tourism, the complex offers a public beach open to everyone with no entrance fee. The venue features a vegan and vegetarian menu in a relaxed atmosphere, breaking away from the conventions of typical commercial beaches.

Starting in July, operating hours have been extended until 11:00 p.m., and the programming includes live performances, community events, wellness classes, and cultural content for the entire family.

“A space for simple, natural human connection”

“In times when we’re all looking for solid ground and a sense of belonging, we want to create a space for simple and natural human connection,” explains Sari Harel, the complex’s marketing and sales manager.

Regarding the choice of Achziv, she adds: “The advantage of Achziv is that it represents Israel’s wild beauty—remote from the crowds yet accessible—and invites everyone to pause for a moment and breathe.”

Harel sees the project as more than just a business initiative. “This project has become a kind of personal and communal recovery process—not just a commercial venture. We believe in the value of returning to life through community experiences, good music, food, and nature. That’s the heart of ‘Mosh’s Beach’, and today—perhaps more than ever.”

The complex is operated in partnership with the Mateh Asher Regional Council and integrates principles of sustainability, coastal preservation, and protection of the Galilean landscape, along with long-term planning for open social programming for the community.
