In 2025, a vacuum-mop that cleans well no longer excites me. Most models today know how to vacuum, mop, dry, and even self-clean – and that’s great, really. But as someone who’s obsessed with cleanliness and has tried nearly every vacuum-mop released in recent years, I’m no longer impressed by flashy features – I look for real upgrades. When the Dreame H15 Pro arrived for testing, it looked on paper like the next big thing – a robotic arm for dirt collection, washing in boiling water, hot air drying, a dirt sensor, and a few more marketing promises. The question isn’t whether it cleans – but how it cleans, what’s convenient, what’s annoying, and what feels like a gimmick. So I put it to work the way I like – no mercy. Here’s what I thought.

Design and Presence: Not the prettiest vacuum in town, but it has something to offer

When the Dreame H15 Pro arrived, it came in a fairly large and heavy box – not so heavy that I needed a friend, but definitely not toy-like. Assembly? Very easy. Attach the handle, place the device in the docking station, and that’s it. No drilling, no wall mounting – it stands alone. In the package, I also found cleaning solution, a spare filter, and a small brush for self-cleaning – extras that show someone thought about the user.

Appearance-wise – pretty standard. Not ugly, but also not designed in a way that makes you want to show it off. The colors are standard – black, gray, and chrome accents, a design that feels very familiar in the vacuum-mop market. It blends into the home easily, not drawing too much attention – neither positive nor negative.

What I did like is that it’s relatively small and light. Not as light as a stick vacuum, but compared to similar devices – it feels much less bulky, easier to handle, comfortable to maneuver, not exhausting. It also folds completely to 180 degrees, which allows it to get under furniture easily – low sofas, beds, wall-mounted toilets – it passes under without a struggle. The head itself is a bit wide, so it won’t fit into every crevice, but in most places, it managed just fine.

The digital screen is one of the better aspects of the design – bright, clear, and displays all the necessary info: battery level, cleaning mode, errors, and even a countdown during self-cleaning. The voice prompts accompanying each action were less appealing – a monotone robotic voice that didn’t really add anything. Luckily, you can lower or turn it off through the app – which is exactly what I did.

The docking station itself is relatively large, and to be honest – not very attractive. It’s not terrible, but also not something you’d want to place next to the living room. At my place, it found a home in a less prominent corner, and that worked great. Beyond charging, it also washes the roller with 100-degree boiling water, dries with hot air, and ensures that the next time the vacuum is turned on – it’s ready for action. The actual result? A clean brush, with no unpleasant odors.

Performance

Let me say it straight – I normally rely on a robotic vacuum-mop. They might not be the most thorough, but they require minimal effort – press a button, go run errands, and come back to a less dusty floor. So when I test a manual vacuum-mop, it needs to deliver real value for the effort – and if not in convenience, then at least in results.

The H15 Pro started impressing me from the first second. The silicone robotic arm attached to it, the one that sticks to the floor in 0.2 seconds, really changes the game. It doesn’t just collect dirt – it pulls it in, dry or wet, leaving no trace. And most importantly – it does it without needing any thought. Just turn it on, and it works on its own.

The suction power is good by default, and when I increased the water level in the app – the mopping performance leveled up too. There’s a convenient button on the handle to switch between modes – Turbo for deep cleaning, Smart for automatic cleaning that adjusts to the dirt, and more. I usually use Smart for daily cleaning, and switch to Turbo for stubborn stains. The self-propulsion is a huge bonus – it moves forward and backward almost effortlessly, and turning the head feels natural.

What really stood out to me was the edge cleaning. Most vacuum-mops just don’t reach there. Here, thanks to the front cloth that drops to collect dirt during backward movement – it collected everything to the edge. I did a test with flour next to a corner – and it left nothing behind. Impressive.

On the tiled floors in my home it worked great. The mopping was even, didn’t over-wet, didn’t leave marks, and felt like a high-quality manual mop job. What’s impressive here is also the efficiency – no need to go over and over, no need to insist or push hard. When you choose the right mode, the vacuum just does what it’s supposed to, and it really shows in the result.

Maintenance – not always fun, but totally manageable

In terms of maintenance, the Dreame H15 Pro manages to be relatively convenient – even if not entirely “hands-off.” The tanks are easily removable, with a separation between clean and dirty water. True, the waste tank becomes quite disgusting after use – a kind of wet, unpleasant sludge – but the small included brush does a good job cleaning it. You need to remember to add cleaning solution each time, but thanks to the measured cap, it’s really not complicated. The tank lasted for a full-house cleaning without stopping, and the app alerts you when it’s time to refill or empty.

The automatic cleaning station is impressive – it properly washes and dries the brush, but it’s also quite noisy. A big plus for me is the brush that doesn’t get tangled with hair – thanks to an internal cutter that surprisingly works very well. I didn’t disassemble or touch it – and it just stays clean over time.

App – a nice addition, not essential

You can connect the H15 Pro to the Dreame app via smartphone. It’s not essential for operation, but it does add control and convenience. Through it, you can change the language (for example, to Hebrew – so the device speaks the right language), see when to replace filters or clean parts, and adjust suction power, water level, and cleaning temperature as needed.

What’s special this time is that you can actually control the vacuum through the app. Once you lay it completely flat (180 degrees), you can move it forward and backward through your phone – for example, to clean under a bed or sofa, without bending down and without using force.

Bottom line

The Dreame H15 Pro is one of the most impressive floor vacuum-mops I’ve tried in recent years – not because it’s revolutionary, but because it just does almost everything right. It’s powerful, thorough, relatively light, reaches corners, doesn’t complicate life with maintenance, and has a few smart features that really work – like the robotic arm, the detachable cloth, and self-cleaning with boiling water. On the other hand, it doesn’t replace a regular or robotic vacuum – it’s still a manual task that requires some effort, and not always suitable for a busy routine. The price: NIS 2,790.
