International cybersecurity giant Trend Micro has announced new Agentic AI technology designed to address traditional pain points associated with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Combined with Trend Micro’s Digital Twin capabilities, the technology is expected to transform enterprise information security operations through proactive management of cyber risks.
Existing SIEM technology has been around for decades, yet users have long faced challenges such as high costs, complexity, alert overload, and passive data repositories. In addition, traditional SIEM systems rely on manual configuration and static parsers, which cannot keep up with the pace or variety of modern data sources.
Trend Micro’s Agentic SIEM is built from the ground up to address these challenges, utilizing the next generation of AI technologies to think, learn, and act proactively and autonomously, filter alert noise, and reduce the workload of busy security teams. What previously required weeks of setup and configuration is now performed automatically by Agentic AI, which learns, maps, and optimizes in real time.
According to Rachel Jin, Vice President of Enterprise Platforms at Trend Micro, “Agentic SIEM is a significant milestone for our long-term vision of AI-driven SecOps. It represents a future where security teams have more time to focus on strategic tasks, knowing that our Agentic AI capabilities are supporting them. This launch marks a key milestone for Trend as a global leader in cybersecurity innovation.”
