After conquering Berlin, Paris, London, and Rome, the European light experience Winter Dreams is coming to Jerusalem for the second time – this time in a bigger and grander production. From November 29, 2025, to January 31, 2026, the Winter Dreams II Festival will take place at the Givat Ram Botanical Garden, in a major production by the German company DEAG, one of Europe’s leading production companies.

At dusk, at 5:00 PM, the garden will open for a magical journey along illuminated paths. About 2 million colorful LED lights will illuminate the garden’s paths, the lake, and the treetops, creating a magical winter atmosphere. Along the route, more than thirty light installations and 22 giant light sculptures will be displayed, accompanied by a newly composed musical soundtrack.

Among the main installations: A 17-meter-long light train, a 5.5-meter-high illuminated Roman gate, the Lotus Lake with glowing lotus flowers, an interactive light tunnel that responds to visitors’ movements, the large greenhouse transformed into a laser show area, and an audiovisual area where visitors can use their voices to light up the trees.

Further along: "A Thousand Meters of Light" with hundreds of thousands of LED points, the cave area with a 6-meter giant star, the magical animal forest with 15 light sculptures of animals (flamingos, deer, bears, and more), and the Night Kingdom – a unique ultraviolet area.

Chef Moshik Roth and European Cuisine

The culinary experience will be led by chef Moshik Roth. Among the stalls: Giant gourmet sausages, patatas bravas, fish and chips, roasted chestnuts, sweet churros, hot cider, salep, and winter soups. In a special area, chef dishes that "glow" under ultraviolet light will be served. All dishes are kosher.

This year, a colorful artistic winter market will also be set up, just like in Europe’s major cities, featuring Jerusalem and Ma’ale HaMikhman artists presenting original artworks and handmade creations.

Tom Amit, CEO of the Botanical Garden, said: "We partnered with the international company DEAG and brought Jerusalem an event of a scale never seen here before. This year’s route has doubled and includes new installations, some interactive, and spectacular lighting that gives a real feeling of being abroad."

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion stated: "I am proud and excited that Jerusalem is joining the world’s major cities and bringing an international event to the Botanical Garden that offers an exceptional experience and puts Jerusalem on the cultural and tourism map of Europe."
