A new and expanded branch of the Mor Institute has opened these days in Nahariya, offering residents of the city and the Western Galilee a wide range of advanced medical services - some of them for the first time in the northern region. The branch, which spans approximately 500 square meters, replaces a smaller complex that previously operated and significantly expands the scope of services provided on site.

As part of the expansion, advanced medical clinics and services have been added to the branch, including an ophthalmology clinic that includes OCT tests, retinal physician consultations, and intraocular injections; a pain clinic with consultations and injections guided by ultrasound; FNA tests for thyroid gland biopsy; vascular tests; and a computerized, personalized orthotics service.

Alongside the new services, existing services continue to operate at the branch, including mammography and breast ultrasound tests, as well as home sleep tests and CPAP device fitting.

According to the management of the Mor Institute, the opening of the renewed branch is intended to strengthen community-based medical care and enable residents of the north to receive advanced and accessible medical services close to home, without the need to travel to central Israel.

Yoram Segal, CEO of the Mor Institute, noted that the move from a small complex to an advanced medical branch constitutes a significant change for the region and another step in narrowing the gaps between the center and the periphery. Clalit also welcomed the opening of the branch and emphasized its contribution to expanding access to advanced medical services for the health fund’s members and residents of the area.

The new branch is expected to serve thousands of patients each year and to strengthen community health services in Nahariya and the Western Galilee.
