Samsung is getting closer to the launch of one of its most intriguing products in recent years, as a new leak reveals for the first time what appear to be the official images of the company’s smart glasses. According to a report by the Android Headlines website, the images show a thin and elegant design that closely resembles regular eyeglasses, apart from slightly thicker arms that house the technological components required to operate the system.

The leaked images reveal a structure that includes camera lenses on the front, indicating a significant emphasis on visual documentation and real-time environmental analysis. Contrary to early expectations for a heavy and bulky augmented reality (AR) device, the model in question will focus on a screen-free experience, similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses. The glasses are expected to be based on Google’s new Android XR platform, with deep integration of the Gemini smart assistant. The leaked technical specifications include a 12-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon AR1 processor, and directional speakers based on bone conduction technology, with an estimated price range between 380 and 500 dollars.

At the same time as this model, it has been revealed that Samsung is already working on a more advanced version developed under the code name "Haean". This model, expected to reach the market only in 2027, will include a micro-LED display that will allow projection of information, notifications, and navigation directly onto the glasses’ lenses, and its price may rise to as much as 900 dollars. This move signals Samsung’s strategy: Entering the market with a more accessible and simpler product, before transitioning to complex display technology.

The timing of the leak, which includes images that appear to be ready-made marketing materials, increases the likelihood that official hints will already appear at the Unpacked event scheduled for July. Although the event will be mostly dedicated to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Watch 9, Samsung may use the stage to provide a glimpse of the glasses, similar to how it previously revealed its VR glasses. However, it should be taken into account that the final price and timelines may change depending on production costs and the global economic situation.
