Pelephone is launching a new fifth-generation plan under the 5G MAX brand, specifically aimed at content creators, media professionals, and social media users. The new plan, called 5G MAX VIP Social, was born out of the need to provide a solution for the heavy browsing congestion created at crowded venues, and offers an upgrade of the upload speed alongside an especially expanded browsing volume. The main goal of the move is to enable the uploading of videos, stories, and live broadcasts in real time and at high quality, even from the very heart of multi-participant events where regular cellular networks tend to collapse under the load.

Behind the launch of the plan stand clear data on the usage habits of the Israeli public, as emerged from a survey conducted by the company through the 2the point institute. The data show that over 80% of Israelis who visit sports events and music concerts tend to document what is happening and upload posts, stories or send WhatsApp messages during the event. However, the existing infrastructure does not always keep up: 62% of those documenting in real time reported that they encounter technical problems and browsing difficulties, with about a third of them noting that these malfunctions recur many times. For most consumers this is no trivial matter, and 71% of respondents defined this experience of disconnection as frustrating. In parallel, a public opinion poll conducted in April 2026 determined that Pelephone has the best cellular network in Israel.

The new plan will cost the consumer NIS 69.9 per month, with the first two months given at a discounted price of NIS 49.9. The package includes an exceptional browsing volume of 4,000 gigabytes as well as 5,000 call minutes and text messages. The launch is accompanied by a new television campaign, adding another familiar face to the company's advertising lineup alongside the regular presenter.

According to Dror Bahat, VP of Marketing at Pelephone, the growth rate of customers in the 5G MAX plans indicates a growing demand for a stable browsing experience. Bahat explained that in a world where every moment is translated into content on the web, the ability to upload data quickly and at high quality becomes critical for users, and the new plan is designed to ensure continuity of service at peak moments. Currently, the company reports that as of today, about 190 thousand subscribers are registered with it in the upgraded plans, which offer network prioritization during congestion, and the official goal of the company is to reach 300 thousand customers in these plans by the end of 2026.
