The book tells the story of Aviva and Nadav, two widowers who find new love together but face health challenges, family tensions, and a conflict over Nadav's money, all of which put their bond to the test. Einan drew inspiration from the lives of acquaintances and surrounding events, along with influences from authors including Elena Ferrante, Thomas Mann, and Zeruya Shalev.
