Hamas's military wing released photographs on Tuesday of what they claim is the Israeli drone which crashed in the Gaza Strip earlier in the day.
A Kassam Brigades operative is shown holding pieces of the drone in the photos.
The organization said in a statement that "the mujahideen gained control of a Zionist unmanned plane in the southern Gaza Strip. We will continue our holy war until Palestine is freed from the river to the sea."
The IDF said that one of its Sky Rider drones had crashed in southern Gaza following a technical error on Tuesday morning.
The IDF said it is investigating the incident.
