Jewish American entrepreneur who survived 9/11 killed in Kenyan attack
The victim's mother said he tried to make a positive difference in the building and developing markets in Third World countries.

He survived the September 11 attacks only to be murdered 18 years later in Tuesday's terrorist attack at the DusitD2 compound in Nairobi.Jewish American, Jason Spindler, was named on Wednesday as the American who was killed in the terrorist attack.The Washington Post reported that Spindler, who headed a consulting firm, had a meeting inside the compound, which is home to one of the city's main upmarket hotel as well as offices, during the terrorist attack. It's believed the terrorists broke into the office where Spindler was working and killed him."He tried to make a positive difference in building and developing markets in Third World countries," his mother Sarah Spindler said. "We all miss him so much, it's so sad that a young man is taken away from us because of terror."In a media statement to the press, Spindlers family said that he had survived September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against the Twin Towers.His brother Jonathan posted on Facebook that Jason was "a fighter" and that he "is convinced he is fighting the terrorists.""I am sure he gave them hell," he wrote.At least 14 people killed in the Somali Al-Shabab terror attack in Kenyan capital, 11 of which who were Kenyans. A British national was also among the dead. The final victim has not yet been identified.
