New law in Brazil lets Jewish students skip exams on Shabbat and holidays
In 2016, 76,000 Sabbath-observant applicants of Brazil’s annual national high school exam were confined to classrooms between 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday in order to start the test after sunset.
