Vilnius mayor orders removal of plaque honoring alleged war criminal

Ordered by Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, the removal on Saturday of the plaque honoring Jonas Noreika from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences follows last week’s vote by the city council.
