The Egyptian website Al- Shorouk reported on Friday that an Israeli delegation left Cairo on Thursday evening after discussing security in Sinai and the recent reported Israeli air strike on a Syrian target.According to the Al-Masreyoon website, an Israeli delegation of four people arrived in Cairo on Thursday on an Israeli military plane. They met with members of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service led by intelligence chief Raafat Shehata while the plane waited on the runway, sources reported. The talks covered the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and the reported January 31 Israeli attack on Syria, the sources said.The website of Egyptian newspaper Al-Masry al-Youm also reported about the story on Thursday, saying that the meeting was planned to last several hours, according to unidentified sources.According to these sources, the meeting was to be about the security situation in the Sinai and border smuggling issues. They were also to discuss a possible prisoner swap, which would include Israeli citizen Andre Pshenichnikov, who was caught crossing into Egypt in December, for a number of Egyptian prisoners held in Israel.
