Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is set to appear on satirical TV show State of the Nation on Sunday night, in an episode filmed on Friday.
“The man responsible for the state of the nation is coming to State of the Nation,” a preview posted on the show’s Facebook page declared.
The Channel 2 show, now in its seventh season, features a segment in which the show’s four hosts tell jokes about a guest while he or she is present, and the guest often responds with zingers of his or her own.
The short clip did not give a hint as to the kinds of jokes Netanyahu will have to face, only showing him smiling and shaking hands with the show’s four hosts, Orna Banai, Einav Galili, Guri Alfi and Lior Schleien, the longtime partner of MK Merav Michaeli (Labor).
However, the hosts did take a selfie with Netanyahu, captioning it on Facebook “sources close to the prime minister.”
Previous high-profile guests to the show include President Shimon Peres, Education Minister Shai Piron, Interior Minister Gideon Sa’ar and American comedienne Joan Rivers.
