Settlers lightly injured two Palestinian girls by throwing stones at two school buses near the Yitzhar settlement in the West Bank, Palestinian media reported Tuesday. The incident came in response to a terror attack that killed an Israeli man from Yitzhar on Tuesday morning.
The two injured girls were evacuated to a hospital in Nablus for treatment.
Following the terror attack earlier in the day, right wing activists clashed with security forces in Yithzar and set fire to dozens of olive trees in the Nablus villages of Asira al-Qibliya and Urif, according to Palestinian news agency Ma'an.
Palestinian Authority official Ghassan Daghlas told Ma'an that masked settlers burned tires at road junctions in Nablus and hurled stones at passing Palestinian vehicles.
