The US has already tendered the Patriot missile as well. Several Turkish companies such as ROKETSAN have also tendered for the same project. Hence, Turkey is not solely reliant on Israel. It's amazing how you declare Turkey, the enemy... Well it was that "enemy" which saved the Sephardic Jewish population from extermination during the Spanish Inquisition! It was the same "enemy" who was one of the first nations to have recognized the sovereignty of the State of Israel. It is the same "enemy" which allows the use of its air space by Israeli F-16s! No one is arming a Muslim country. It's amazing how some try desperately to put Turkey on the same footing with Iran! Check the Turkish Constitution! Turkey is the only secular country in the Middle East who is not blinded by so-called "religious" fundamentalism! When Turkey builds an oil, water and gas pipeline to Israel, it's ok, but when Israel wants to return the favor, some dogmatic circles start barking! These same people are very uncomfortable with the Turkey-Israeli alliance... It's about bloody time you stop pointing the blame on religion and look in the mirror! And to my Israeli friends who fall into the traps set by the Armenian and Greek, WAKE UP! Our relationship was not built yesterday. It is 600 years old, if not more! What do you think?
