Twenty residents of Kibbutz Snir in the Upper Galilee were evacuated on Wednesday to Ziv Hospital in Safed to receive vaccinations against rabies after they had come in to contact with a dog infected with the deadly disease.
The Health Ministry has called on other members of the public who have been in contact with the dog to report to the Haifa District Health Office.
