Following an outbreak of swine flu in Mexico and the United States, which is a quickly evolving situation that the head of the World Health Organization said has an "pandemic potential," the Health Ministry issued a statement on Saturday saying that no swine flu cases have been identified in Israel.
According to the statement, the ministry is working in accordance with international recommendations, and has yet to issue a warning against traveling to Mexico.
However, anyone who develops a flu-like illness up to seven days after returning to Israel from Mexico should seek medical treatment, the ministry said.
