Rabbi Eliyahu undergoes 'successful procedure' on leg

Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, the former Sephardi chief rabbi, underwent a "successful medical procedure" on a blood vessel in his leg, according to the Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in a statement on Sunday.
Eliyahu, in his eighties, was previously hospitalized for nearly at year at Jerusalem's Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he was saved from clinical death after a heart attack and stroke.
Last month, he was discharged from that hospital.
