“One day, his doctor called us and said, there is one lady and she is ready to donate part of her liver,” the Indian woman tells the camera. “She heard the story about baby Krish and she’s willing to donate her liver.”
The Israeli did not know the Indian family personally, but had heard their story. She underwent surgery soon after and Krisha received a new liver.
“My child is alive only because of the Israeli,” said the the Indian mom. “She gave a new life to us and our baby. And when our son will grow, we will explain him everything.”
The Indian family said that while they stayed in the hospital for 20 days, they were treated without any discrimination.
“We felt like we were in our home town,” the mother said. “Everyone treated us with happiness.
“We are so lucky that we are in Israel,” she continued. “It’s like a miracle. For a lifetime, we’ll never forget Israel.”
