With a heart of gold, Sara, at 26, takes her job at Yad Ezra V’Shulamit’s Children Center in Jerusalem very seriously. “I know I have been given a mission to help nurture and build these tender Jewish souls. My mother and family were so loving to me, we learned to care and to give to others’, explained Sara.
At the Children’s Center, not a day goes by where you don’t find a child on Sara’s lap, telling her their life’s woes. Elana was one such child. She needed hugs, she needed unconditional love, she needed boundaries. Sara provided that special balance that helped Elana develop.
Under Sara’s expertise, Elana blossomed.
As Sara says, “I don’t know what is going to be with her later in life but while she is here, at least I can give her what she is missing at home and set her on a straight path for life. Every child has to feel that someone cares”.
