10,000 Austrian students remember the Holocaust

Around 10,000 Austrian high school students participated in a Friday night ceremony in Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral commemorating those who were killed by the Nazis. After the ceremony, they walked to houses that had formerly belonged to the Nazi's victims and laid wreaths of roses on their doorposts. Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik said that the Mauthausen concentration camp, which was liberated 61 years ago to the day, would forever stand as a memorial to those who died under the horrific Nazi regime, Israel Radio reported.
