Three soldiers were killed and six others injured when their truck struck an electricity wire in southeast Nepal, the army said Friday.
The soldiers were returning from collecting firewood on Thursday when their vehicle hit the wire, which had apparently snapped and was lying across the road, the army said in a statement.
The accident occurred near Haraiya village, 200 kilometers southeast of the capital, Katmandu
The injured were airlifted by helicopter to the Nepal Army hospital in Katmandu.
