Four French tourists were killed by gunmen during a robbery Monday in eastern Mauritania.
The four were robbed at gunpoint and then shot, said Mohamed Ould Lemine, the police chief of Aleg, the town near where the incident occurred. A fifth French tourist was seriously injured.
