Afghanistan: 3 coalition soldiers killed by bomb

A roadside bomb blast killed three US-led coalition service members in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday, the coalition said. The forces were engaged in combat operations in Nangarhar province when the roadside bomb hit their vehicle. A civilian interpreter was also killed. The coalition did not announce the nationalities of the soldiers, though the majority of troops in eastern Afghanistan are American. The three deaths brings to five the number of troops killed around Afghanistan in the last two days. Two NATO soldiers were killed in separate incidents in southern and eastern Afghanistan.
