Apple has banned the pro-terror, pro-violence Telegram channel of the radical group “Unity of Fields” (UoF) on all iPhones and other iOS devices. The anonymous group, boasting more than 10,000 followers on Telegram and over 13,000 on X/Twitter, claimed it received a formal notice from Apple on June 3, 2025.
UoF appears to be an offshoot of a radical group dubbed “Palestine Action,” known for their violent tactics and deliberate vandalism against companies and organizations associated with Israel or the US government. Founded originally in the UK, Palestine Action expanded its operations to the US immediately following the October 7 massacre and later rebranded itself as Unity of Fields (UoF).
This term was used by Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad following the 2021 attack on Israel, which combined rockets from Gaza and riots in mixed towns in Israel. According to Al-Arabiya, the term was since used by Iran and its loyalists to refer to their regional strategy of combined fighting against Israel.
UoF has shown open support for terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. In the current context, the group has also expressed support for the violent anti-ICE riots in LA, promoted violence against police officers and US institutions, and encouraged their followers to call ICE tip lines with false leads to illegally undermine the agency’s work.
More examples of inflammatory discourse applied by UoF include referring to the US as “the Fourth Reich,” naming police officers as “pigs” and calling to terrorize them, and lauding their loyal followers as a “Hamas Marxist army.” Some of UoF’s inciting rhetoric has also been used by other groups with which they maintain unclear relations, including National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP).
UoF describe themselves as a US-based “militant front against the US-NATO-zionist axis of imperialism,” and claimed responsibility for a wide array of vandalistic actions across the US, including placing dog feces near the entrance to the AIPAC offices in Washington, releasing cockroaches and worms in hotels and shops accused of being “complicit” with Israel, painting the Alma Mater statue on the Columbia University campus in red paint, vandalizing banks and plants across the US, and more.
Unity of Fields's Instagram account was removed last summer
The group’s Instagram account was removed by Meta last summer, a move they denounced in a message on their Telegram channel, rejecting the fact that “a week after launching, [it] has already been suspended by zionazi Instagram.”
Zachor Legal Institute, a nonprofit civil rights organization combating hate and violence, requested that Apple investigate the group to identify potential violations of US law. Zachor’s letter to Apple came after UoF called for police officers to be burned.
Zachor also approached Android/Google to ask for the removal of UoF accounts from any Android device and asked X to shut down the UoF account for violating X terms; however, Google and X haven’t yet acted against UoF.
“Unity of Fields is a case of foreign involvement in the promotion of terrorism and rioting,” says Marc Greendorfer, president of Zachor Legal Institute. “We applaud Apple’s response to our report and hope that Google and X also take action and that the federal government enforces all applicable laws to prevent further violence.”
In October 2023, numerous official Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad Telegram channels were blocked on Apple and Android devices after both Google and Apple approached Telegram about the illegality of providing services to US-designated terror groups and allowing them to promote incitement on the platform.
