US President Donald Trump threatened to look into deporting Elon Musk and cut off the billions of dollars in subsidies that Musk's companies receive from the federal government while talking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday.

"He's upset that he's losing his EV mandate and … he's very upset about things, but he can lose a lot more than that," Trump said.

“We might have to put DOGE on Elon,” he said, adding that DOGE is “the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon.”

“Wouldn't that be terrible?" he laughed.

Musk is a naturalized US citizen, but could lose his citizenship if he were found guilty of certain crimes, including terrorism, war crimes, sex crimes, human rights violations, or naturalization fraud.
