The US Treasury Department sanctioned several Palestinian human rights organizations based in Gaza and the West Bank on Thursday, including Al-Haq, al-Mezan Center for Human Rights, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.

Al-Haq, founded in 1979, according to its website, "documents violations of the individual and collective rights of Palestinians" in the West Bank, with a goal of ending the status quo.

The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights, established in 1999, focuses on the human rights of Gazans, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, founded in 1995 and based in Gaza City, seeks to develop democratic institutions and an active civil society, according to their websites.

Al-Haq sues UK govt. over supplying parts to the Israel Air Force's F-35

In May, Al-Haq filed a case in the British courts against the government for supplying F-35 parts to the Israel Air Force's supply chain.

Legal experts told The Jerusalem Post in June that the case presented by Al-Haq was weak.

The court ruled that continuing to supply F-35 parts is lawful as of June 30.

Al-Haq was also notably on a list of organizations that a coalition of 45 organizations sent to the Treasury Department, petitioning the government to issue sanctions due to their alleged role as terror proxies.
