Britain's Queen Elizabeth II was "shocked and saddened" after hearing of the shootings Monday in Virginia that left 33 people dead, including the gunman, in the deadliest shooting rampage in US history.
The Queen is due to visit the state of Virginia next month during a royal trip to the US.
