Cheney `clearly would love' to get bin Laden now

Vice President Dick Cheney says he's guessing that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden is still alive. Bin Laden has escaped capture since the September 11, 2001 attacks. Cheney says capturing him is something the Bush administration "clearly would love to do" in the last few weeks in office. Cheney says he and President George W. Bush would have preferred to have gotten bin Laden right after the attacks in 2001. But Cheney says the US has made progress in undermining the al-Qaida network. Cheney says bin Laden has been holed up in a such a way that there are questions about whether he is even running the al-Qaida operation. Cheney spoke on "Fox News Sunday."
