Civilians killed in Russian raid on Georgian town

Russian military aircraft have raided a Georgian town in an attack that left scores of civilians killed or wounded. An Associated Press reporter who visited Gori shortly after the Russian raid saw several apartment buildings ravaged and scores of dead bodies and bloodied civilians. The AP reporter saw elderly people, women and children among the victims. The Russian planes appeared to have targeted a military base in Gori's outskirts that sustained hits. They also apparently hit nearby living quarters in Saturday's raid.
