Germany, Russia trying to secure troops' freedom

German and Russian intelligence services are working together to secure the release of the three captured IDF soldiers, German newspaper The Berliner reported on Friday. Without disclosing the source of its information, the newspaper said that German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov had previously agreed on a joint effort to secure the release of Cpl. Gilad Shalit. Reportedly, the two met again after Hizbullah captured two troops on the northern border, vowing to increase their efforts to bring about the release of all three troops.
