An Athens court has granted parole to the last jailed member of Greece's ELA terrorist group, three years into his 25-year prison term, court officials said Tuesday. Judges ruled that Costas Agapiou, 58, would be released pending the appeal of his 2004 conviction for membership in the far-left group, known as Revolutionary Popular Struggle. Agapiou was arrested in 2003, during a security crackdown before the 2004 Athens Olympics. He was convicted in 2004, together with another three people. The court ordered Agapiou to pay €3,000 (US$4,400) in bail, and banned him from leaving the country. The date of the appeals court trial has not been set. Agapiou was expected to walk free from the top-security Korydallos Prison in Athens later Tuesday.
