Indonesian policeman killed by Muslim mob

Police killed two alleged Muslim militants on Sulawesi Island Thursday and a mob then beat to death an officer during the funeral for the two men, police said. Lt. Col. Rudy Sufahriadi said many people were involved in the mob attack on the officer in Poso town in central Sulawesi, the scene of bloody violence between Muslim and Christian gangs six years ago. "We are investigating the attack now," he told The Associated Press.
