Malaysia: Fatah-Hamas rivalry 'a pity'

Calling the Hamas-Fatah rivalry "a pity," Malaysia's foreign minister urged the Palestinians on Tuesday to unite if they want the respect of supporters worldwide. Host Malaysia dispensed the advice a day after Mahmoud Zahar, the foreign minister of the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority government, boycotted a ministerial conference of the Nonaligned Movement to protest the participation of his Fatah rival, Farouk Kaddoumi. "All of us continue to support the struggle of the Palestinian people but the Palestinian people seem to be not in unity. That is not good," Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar told reporters
