Pakistan: One dead in suspected suicide bombing

A suspected suicide attacker set off a bomb Friday near Islamabad's Marriott Hotel, killing one person and wounding at least several others, police said. Police cordoned off the scene of the blast, in the city's downtown area near the Parliament building and the office of the president, police official Abdul Ghaffar said. The wounded were being taken to a hospital, he said. "It seems it was a suicide attack, but officers are still investigating," Interior Minister Aftab Khan Sherpao said.
