Report: Troops' fate not revealed at French talks

A senior source in Hizbullah has claimed that the group's representatives at talks in France did not give French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner any information on the fate of kidnapped IDF reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, Israel Radio quoted the Lebanese paper Al Akhbar as saying on Monday. The source added that negotiations for the troops' release were being held up due to Israel's stubbornness. According to the Hizbullah source, Kouchner asked the delegation about the negotiations' progress. The representatives answered that it was under the care of the UN, but said nothing more on the subject. Sources in Beirut reported that the talks in Paris ended on Sunday night without results. The French foreign minister is expected to send an envoy to Beirut to continue attempts to solve Lebanon's political crisis.
