Several insurgents killed by US-led coalition in southern Afghanistan

The US-led coalition said Thursday that its troops killed several insurgents and detained four others in southern Afghanistan.
A coalition statement said the troops had been searching for a Taliban commander Tuesday in the Kajaki district of Helmand province when insurgents fired upon them. The coalition returned fire, killing "a number" of insurgents.
The military said there were no civilian or coalition casualties during the raid.
