SMS scandal forces ouster of Finland's foreign minister

A leading government party in Finland says it no longer backs Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva because of a text message scandal involving an erotic dancer. The move will force him to leave his post.
National Coalition Party chairman Jyrki Katainen told Verkkouutiset news Tuesday that Kanerva cannot continue as the foreign minister "because he no longer enjoys the trust and general respect which would make it possible for him to continue."
