South Ossetian president dismisses gov't, declares state of emergency

President of Georgia's pro-Russian separatist republic of South Ossetia, Eduard Kokoity, dismissed his government and proclaimed a state of emergency in the rebel region, Russian news agencies reported Monday.
Reportedly, the president harshly criticized the government's behavior during the humanitarian crisis that transpired following the Georgian attack. The state of emergency is expected to continue for a month.
Russian troops were expected to begin pulling out of Georgia later Monday.
