Straw: Sanctions on Iran if nuke program continues

The United Kingdom warned Iran on Tuesday that it would be subject to sanctions if it did not cease its uranium enrichment program. The United States had also made that threat in the past. Foreign Minister Jack Straw said that Iran would be making a mistake if it counted on Russia and China to veto the sanctions. Speaking at the British parliament, Straw condemned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statement earlier in the week, whereby he said that Israel must not be allowed to continue to exist.
