A sixth Guilford College football player was charged Monday with assaulting a Palestinian student during a fight at the school, court officials said.
Micah Rushing, 21, was released on a promise to appear, the Guilford County Magistrate's Office said.
The charges stem from allegations by three Palestinian students who said they were taunted with racial slurs and called "terrorists" while they were beaten by several members of the school's football team on Jan. 20, according to court documents.
Five other football players at the Quaker campus were charged with ethnic intimidation in addition to assault.
