The Vietnamese government has revoked the press credentials of seven local journalists, including two who openly criticized the state's handling of the media, after accusing them of violating press rules and embezzlement, state-controlled media reported Saturday.
It was the latest move against the press by the communist leadership since May, when two newspaper reporters were arrested for their coverage of a high-profile corruption trial of government officials.
