Says Iran draws power from lack of unified int'l approach to its nuke program.

President Shimon Peres has called on the world to unite against Iran and to force it to abandon its nuclear weapons program.
In an interview published in Tuesday's Le Figaro, Peres said Iran's power stemmed from the lack of world unity regarding its nuclear program.
Turning to other issues, the president told the French newspaper that the Palestinian economy must be strengthened. He urged the Palestinians to form ties with Israel and return to peace talks.
Peres's comments followed remarks by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Monday that the world "has not ruled out a military strike on Iran."
However, Brown said that he still thought UN sanctions were effective. "Soon, a decision will be made regarding Iran and I believe that this path will continue to be efficient," said Brown.
