Netanyahu lashes out at opponents’ knowledge of economy, energy sectors

Haimovich is Blue and White’s pick for Environmental Protection Minister.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Israeli TV anchorwoman Miki Haimovich "delusional," said Yair Lapid, "doesn't understand the economy" and Benny Gantz was "bankrupt,” in a video released on Tuesday.

Haimovich is Blue and White’s pick for Environmental Protection Minister.
The Blue and White is Lapid and Gantz’s joint ticket for Israel’s elections.
In an interview with Ynet, Haimovich said she was against a gas agreement and that, "we are not supposed to dig up the gas, New Zealand today decided that it will leave its gas underground, dozens of other countries are moving in that direction."
In response, Netanyahu called her "delusional," and said, that she wants "to bury hundreds of millions of dollars that need to go to the country, that need to go to you! For education, for welfare, for the elderly, burying it under the ground."
Haimovich has also said in the interview that she would instead hope to heat homes with solar and wind energy. "Morocco has built a solar farm that will power two cities the size of Marrakech."
Netanyahu also slammed Lapid, Gantz and Gabi Ashkenazi, the top brass of  the Blue and White Party list, saying that Lapid "was a failed finance minister," and that Gantz "went bankrupt, his only experience is starting a company in the private sector, he lost millions in investments and Gaby Ashkenazi lost millions of his own dollars in the oil sector.”
“But now they won’t lose their own investments but will bury our economy!"
